Betway Free Bet ClubThey say that the best things in life are free. But then they also say that you never get anything for free in life, so I’m not sure who to believe. Regardless, everyone loves free stuff. It’s why you’ll see loads of people crowded around the workers who give away newspapers or free drinks at train stations.

So many of us spend money with bookmakers that it’s not unusual to wonder why they don’t give us something back. If a drinks company can hand out free bottles of pop to commuters, can’t bookies help out their customers every now and then?

Well yes they can, actually. It doesn’t happen often and you need to earn it, but if you play your cards right you can indeed get some free stuff from a bookmaker, as I’ll explain here.

What’s the Free Bet Club?

Betway’s free bet club is one of the ways in which they repay their customers for their loyalty, with £25 worth of bets placed at certain odds on treble accumulator’s or higher earning you a free bet token in exchange. The most important thing, before anything else, is to opt-in to the club by heading to their website. After all, if you’re not in the club then you don’t get the benefits. You only need to opt-in once and then you’re in the club until such a time as you choose to opt-out.

How Does It Work?

Once you’ve opted in then you’re officially a member of the club. You’ll then need to place £25 worth of bets on the sportsbook between midnight on Saturday and 23:59 on the following Friday. You don’t need to place the £25 in one go if you don’t want to, you can even place 25 £1 bets. The only really important thing is that you place it within that weekly period if you want to get the £10 in free bets.

You can place your £25 worth of bets on whatever you want, though enhanced prices and boosts won’t count towards the offer, neither will bets placed on eSports. All of your qualifying bets must be on events with odds of 2/1 (3.00) or greater, which applies to the total odds for the multiple bet. If you cash out or partially cash out your bet that will make it ineligible and it won’t count towards the offer.

Using Your Free Bets

The sharp-eyed amongst you will have noticed that I keep referring to the plural ‘free bets’. That’s because you don’t just get one £10 free bet, but rather two £5 bets that are credited to your account at different times. Here’s how it works:

  • First £5 free bet: Credited at 12pm on Saturday, valid until 12pm Monday of the following week
  • Second £5 free bet: Credited at 2pm on Monday and valid until 2pm Friday

Remember that you can’t use your free bets on eSports or markets with enhanced odds. You can’t use them on Betway boosts and each bet needs to be placed in its entirety. The maximum return you’ll be able to claim on a free bet is £20,000, but you’ll need to be winning a pretty spectacular bet in order to get those sort of returns, I suppose!

Is It Worth It?

I think this is actually a really good deal, to be honest. The main reason why I like it is that you only need to be betting on a small accumulators to take advantage of it. Plenty of other bookies ask you to place comparatively large accas in order to get bonus offers, so to get £10 in free bets for placing £25 or more on accumulators with a minimum of three legs is a very nice offer indeed.

As always, of course, the key question is whether or not you’d be looking to place those bets usually. If you’re a fan of an acca then it could be fairly straightforward to stake £25’s worth and take advantage of the offer. If you don’t normally place them and £25 seems like a lot of money to you then there’s no major advantage to doing it. What I would say, though, is that if you’ve been toying within placing an accumulator bet in the past then this might provide the incentive to do it as you’ll get £10 in free bets and that’s nothing to be sniffed at.
