Anyone who has ever placed a bet on a horse race will know how difficult it is to come even close to seeing your selection run home as a winner. There are so many variables in play that even picking the favourite is no guarantee that you will be able to see a return at the end of a race meeting. Whether you’re betting on National Hunt events or flat racing, there are any number of different things that could happen to see your betting slip ripped up before the horses have even reached the first corner. That is the thinking behind Coral’s Racing Super Series, which doesn’t even require your horses to win for you to be successful.

How the Promotion Works

The way in which Coral have approached the Racing Super Series promotion is actually nice and simple. It works as follows: the company picks seven races across a number of different horse racing meetings. You, the punter, needs to select a horse that will finish in the places for all seven races. If you manage to do that successfully then you will win a share of the jackpot. To be clear, you do not need to pick the winner in all of the races, just pick a horse that ends up finishing in the places in all seven events chosen by Coral. Do that and you could win at least some money, with how much depending on others.

The jackpot is shared between all bettors who managed to correctly predict seven horses finishing in the places, so you might end up with a lot or a little. For example, if the jackpot was £10,000,  and there were 100 people who correctly predicted seven placers, each punter would win £100 each. Obviously the fewer people there are that manage to pick seven placers, the more money you will get for yourself if you have beaten the odds and picked yourself some decent horses. Should you somehow be the only person who managed to do it, you’ll win the full amount all to yourself and won’t have to share it with anybody.

Cash Credit for Winners

One of the best things about this promotion from Coral is that you will be paid your winnings as cash straight into your account. You don’t need to worry about any wagering requirements with the winnings, nor will it be paid as a free bet that you’ll have to place again in order to hope of withdrawing any of the money. Instead, you will be able to take the money paid to you as part of the Racing Super Series straight into your bank account to use as you see fit. The promotion works as a knockout format, meaning that you will need to see your horse place in every race or else you will be removed from the running for that round.

The promotion is available online and via the company’s mobile app, as well as in-store for any customers that have an active Connect Card linked to their account. If in doubt, have a chat with someone working in the store and they’ll talk you through it. Anyone playing online must be accessing the website from a country in which it is not restricted. It is also worth nothing that the promotion is not available to those who opened an account and deposited funds with PayPal, Apple Pay, Moneybookers, NeTeller, Prepaid Cards, Skrill or PaySafe. That is just something to bear in mind in terms of how you deposit money into your Coral account.

One Selection Per Player

If you’re thinking of entering the promotion then it is worth bearing in mind that there is one selection available per player. That is to say, you can choose seven horses that you think will place once. The prize pot is typically £10,000, but there have been bigger prize funds in the past during the major festivals, so make sure that you take a look to see what the jackpot is at the time that you’re taking part. If there aren’t any winners then the money is not won, but it doesn’t rollover to the next week. In instances where you’ve ended up picking a horse that ends up being a non-runner, your selection will revert to being the starting price favourite for the race instead.

If there are joint-favourites for the race, your horse will be the one with the lowest race card number. When it comes to the places, it will differ for each race and be determined by the official result after the weigh-in. If there is a later race adjustment for some reason, this won’t count towards the promotion. If one of the races that was scheduled to be part of the promotion is abandoned or declared to be void for some reason, there will be no prize awarded for that week. The good news is that you can get 20 Coral Coins simply for entering the promotion, so it is worth considering if that’s the sort of thing that matters to you.
