Different bookies cover different sports in different ways. It’s what makes it so fascinating to write about them, with each coming at what they do from their own angle and attracting the attention of punters by giving them something unique. Never is that more evident than with RaceBets, the bookmaker that specialises in covering racing events. Horse racing is their most popular market, as you’d expect, but greyhound racing and harness racing is also offered. Of course, covering something that other companies also cover means that RaceBets have to work hard to find other ways to appeal to customers.
Horse racing is one of the most popular sports to bet on in the world, so virtually any bookmaker worth their salt offers odds on the majority of races. RaceBets set themselves apart by covering even more races from even more locations, but that alone is no guarantee of bringing in the punters. For that reason, the company has launched its Bet & Jet Club, which has the aim of not only attracting bettors that might not have been with the company before, but also maintaining the interest of those who already know all about what RaceBets has to offer.
What Is the Bet & Jet Club?
In essence, this is RaceBets’s loyalty club, rewarding customers who place several bets with the bookmaker rather than turning elsewhere to place their wagers. The company selects a different race meeting every day to be their featured meeting. If you place £25 worth of bets on the races held at that meeting, then you’ll get a free £5 bet to be used on the following day’s featured meeting. That’s it. It could just as easily have been called the Bet & Get Club.
You’ll need to ensure that your bets are win singles if you’d like them to qualify towards the offer, with place parts of wach-way bets not counting. It doesn’t matter whether you place five bets worth £5 each on five different races at the chosen meeting or one bet of £25, as long as you spend £25 or more on the featured race meeting of the day then you’ll be golden.
What Are Examples of Previous Featured Races?
I’m not going to say that no other bookmakers cover the same depth of racing as RaceBets manages, but it’s definitely fair to say that the majority don’t offer the same number of races from abroad. That’s why this offer is called the Bet & Jet club, because the featured race meetings come from all around the globe. Here are some examples of previous meetings that have been selected for the offer:
Racecourse | Country | Date of the Meeting |
---|---|---|
Flamingo Park | South Africa | 13.11.17 |
Lingfield | United Kingdom | 14.11.17 |
Happy Valley | Hong Kong | 15.11.17 |
Clonmel | Republic of Ireland | 16.11.17 |
Kranji | Singapore | 17.11.17 |
Champ de Mars | Mauritius | 18.11.17 |
Turffontein | South Africa | 19.11.17 |
Leicester | United Kingdom | 20.11.17 |
Chantilly | France | 21.11.17 |
Dresden | Germany | 22.11.17 |
The offer works in a one day follows the next type scenario. This means that if you’d placed £25 worth of bets on the Champ de Mars meeting in Mauritius on the eighteenth of November 2017 then you’d have a £5 free bet added to your account that you could use on the races at Turffontein in South Africa on the nineteenth.
How the Free Bet Works
You’ll get your free bet added to your account after the final race of the selected meeting has finished. It’s really important that you remember that the free bet is only valid for the featured meeting the day after it’s been credited, so you won’t be able to use it on any old race of your choosing.
The free bet’s value will be £5 and it must be wagered on single win or each-way bets. Despite the fact that you’re placing it on the featured meeting of the day, the free bet you place won’t count towards your qualifying amount for the offer. In other words, if you placed your free £5 on the meeting at Turffontein and wanted to get another free bet you could use on the races in Leicester the following day, you’d have to place an additional £25 worth of bets in cash.
Anything Else You Need to Know?
This is unlikely to matter to most of you, but in the interest of full-disclosure I should say that the offer is only valid for RaceBets customers in the following countries:
- Australia
- Austria
- Finland
- Germany
- India
- Ireland
- Japan
- Malta
- Mauritius
- Norway
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
In line with most similar offers, you won’t get your free bet stake back with any winnings that you manage to rack up when you place your £5 free wager.
Is This a Good Deal?
If you’re a fan of betting on racing then I can’t recommend RaceBets highly enough as a bookmaker. Yes, all of the most reliable bookies will give you odds on plenty of races from around the world. Even so, there’s nothing like turning to a company that specialises in what you want to bet on in order to ensure you’re getting the best coverage.
For that reason, I think this is a really decent offer. It gives you a chance to check out what RaceBets have to offer if you haven’t used their services before and rewards you for placing bets.
The £5 free bet isn’t the most generous offer I’ve ever seen, but then £25 isn’t the highest stake amount that companies have asked you to place either. It’s also worth noting that there’s nothing in the RaceBets terms and conditions for this offer specifying minimum odds on either the qualifying bet or the free bet, neither are there any turnover requirements.
